Fundraising
There are many expenses that come along with running a band program. We do fundraisers throughout the year to make band more affordable for everyone!
An easy way to support the band is to sign up for Kroger Community Rewards to start earning funds for the program. Visit Kroger Community Rewards and search for Great Crossing Band Boosters, Inc.
Here are some of the fundraisers we do throughout the calendar year:
During the Summer Months
On some Saturdays during the summer, you can find us at O’Reilly’s Auto Parts on South Broadway in Georgetown. hosting an old-fashioned car wash! Our next car wash will be Saturday, August 8.
During the School Year
CAKE ROLL SALE
We’ve partnered with Liberty Fundraising to raise money for our group! We’re selling Joyful Traditions® cake rolls – unique desserts with unbelievable taste! Simply set out, slice, and serve!
The cake rolls will be delivered frozen and must be frigerated or frozen. Orders placed online will be personally delivered by the sellers since these products cannot be shipped.
Fundraiser typically occurs during the fall semester, in time for Thanksgiving. See any band member for more information on how to place an order!
MATTRESS SALE
If you are looking to replace a bed in your home, this is the time to do it! For one day only, Great Crossing High School will be transformed into a mattress showroom. Proceeds from the sale of mattresses and bed materials come back to the band.
There will be 30 different mattress styles on display in all sizes for customers to try, priced below retail. Adjustable power bases, luxury pillows, foundations, mattress protectors, and premium sheets will be available as well. The brands including Simmons Beautyrest, Southerland, Therapedic, and Tranquility Sleep Systems. All mattresses come with full factory warranties and are made to order. Mattresses are available 2-3 weeks after the fundraiser. Delivery is available.
CANDY BAR SALES
In the late winter and early spring, band members sell chocolate bars from Old Kentucky Chocolates.
BUTTER BRAID SALE
Another product through Liberty Fundraising is the one-and-only Butter Braid Pastry! Butter Braid Pastries are soft, flaky, hand-braided pastries filled with fruit, cinnamon, or cheese fillings, made with 100% real butter. An icing/marinara packet is included with each pastry. We do this fundraiser in the spring, usually before Easter.
Butter Braids are delivered frozen and must stay frozen until ready to bake. Orders placed online will be personally delivered by the sellers since these products cannot be shipped.
